Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician Program. This program would benefit many in your area. It is also the lowest cost program in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
The requirements to join:
- Must be 18
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous Medical Field experience preferred (MA, CNA, LVN, RN, medical front desk, massage, non certified phlebotomists, caregiver, home health aide)

- Program Length – 2 to 4 weeks, but is work at your own pace so you can shorten or extend.
- Online Portion of program consists of 10 modules, work at your own pace. If you dedicate 1-2 hrs a day you can finish ~3 weeks. After you pass the modules, you will be taking a practice exam over all of the material. Practice exam has unlimited attempts. You will have to have passed 3 times successfully before being able to take national exam.
- Two (2) hands-on clinical days are required to successfully complete the program.
- San Antonio – Clinicals are held Monday-Friday
- Del Rio Clinicals – Saturdays 9:00am-6:00pm
- Crystal City Clinicals -To be determined
- Once modules are complete, practice test is passed 3 times, and clinicals are done you can sit for national exam.
- National exam is done online from home. You have 3 attempts before you have to retake course.
- Once all is complete, you will be a graduate from Field Diagnostics Medical Training Program as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician via NPS
- Certification is good for 2 years
